Temptation Restaurant - Boca Grande
A few weeks ago, I went on a fishing trip in Boca Grande (the Tarpon capital of the world) After hooking 4 Tarpon but unsuccessfully bringing them to the boat, we caught 2 large Grouper's. When we got back to the dock, we filleted the fish and thought now what? Our guide, recommended that we go to Temptation Restaurant in Boca Grande since they will cook up the fresh caught grouper.
We walked into the restaurant with a gallon sized Ziploc bag filled with the fillets and spoke to the chef. He told us that he would make us a whole meal using what we caught.
The appetizer was grouper fingers, lightly fried and served with homemade tarter sauce. For our entrees, the chef prepared the grouper 2 different ways, the first way was what they call Almondine. The fish is grilled and served with a Frangelico cream sauce and sliced almonds, it was outrageous! The second way the fish was served on a bed of shredded sauteed brussel sprouts, roasted garlic, shallots, prosciutto and parmesan cheese. This way, I personally liked better, but both ways were delicious.
Temptations has a different menu everyday, they use only the finest, fresh, local ingredients. The restaurants decor is nothing special, but what makes Temptations special is the great food and the camaraderie of the staff and the locals.
You can see the daily menu on their website http://temptationbocagrande.com/blog1/
Whenever you are in this great island spot, make sure you check out Temptation.
